Library

The present library collections hold about 15,000 items. Most of them are post office aids, timetables and road, railway and air routing schedules. Collections of laws and other regulations since mid-18th century, telephone directories since 1883, etc. are among the rest.

The highlights include traveller's guides, or itineraries, from the 17th and 18th centuries, postal lexicons, telephone, telegraph and radiocommunications manuals. Visitors can also check catalogues of Czech and foreign stamps, publications dedicated to major stamp designers, printing technologies and other philatelic literature.

Those who like in-depth information can use our study room; the staff will help you find answers to any questions you may have on postal history.
