The Technika exhibition was prepared as a celebration of the joining of both institutions, primarily featuring the most interesting items transferred from the collections of the Postal Museum to the National Technical Museum in 1955.
The exhibition, located on the ground floor of the Vávra House, is divided into several thematic sections: Radio, Stamp Production in the Czech Lands, Telephone and Telegraph, Transport, and Postal Architecture.
A key part of the exhibition is the presentation of stamp design, which provides a comprehensive overview of the history of postage stamps from the mid-19th century to the present day. In six safe cabinets, there are three hundred pull-out panels; the first section houses the complete collection of Czechoslovak and Czech stamps. On display are the very beginnings of our stamp production—the famous Hradčany stamps from 1918 designed by Alfons Mucha—as well as the latest Czech issues.,
